Ana Paula Caetano holds a PhD in Social Work (Catholic University of Portugal – FCH and University of Coimbra – FPCE), a Master’s degree in Psychology with a specialisation in Family and Systemic Intervention, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (Miguel Torga Higher Institute). She is a lecturer at Lusófona University (FCESE).
She has extensive professional experience in projects addressing health promotion and the social inclusion of people with addictive behaviours and homelessness (2008-2023), developing expertise in outreach interventions, social mediation strategies, and academic supervision in Social Work. She is currently Subcoordinator of CLAIM ULusófona Porto, supporting the integration of migrants through information, guidance, and referral services. She is also a registered member of the Portuguese Order of Social Workers (n.º 01660).
She has authored several scientific publications, presented at national and international conferences, and received four academic awards. She collaborates with the Intrepid Lab (Porto) and with the Lusíada Research Centre in Social Work and Social Intervention (CLISSIS). Her research focuses on social work practices, welfare policies, and the social inclusion of vulnerable groups.
