Resumo
Formation of thermally inflated graphite by heating of graphite-Mg(ClO4)2 powder mixtures was studied. Formation of graphite intercalation compounds as intermediates of direct oxidative conversion of graphite to thermally inflated graphite was proved. The solid and gaseous products of the reaction were studied by wide a set of physicochemical methods.
