Resumo
The aim of this research is to carry out a systemic review of scientific studies published on talent management in Higher Education Institutions. Using the PRISMA method, searches were carried out on Google Scholar and the B-on database, covering articles in English, Portuguese and Spanish. The search was limited to the period between 2017 and 2023. Based on cross-referencing and reading several articles, nine studies were selected that were considered relevant to the study. The analysis carried out led to the conclusion that the studies supporting this literature review, although focused on institutions located in geographically distinct areas, identify similar procedures in terms of talent management in Higher Education Institutions and encounter challenges and difficulties that seem to cut across this sector and the current context, particularly with regard to the need to implement talent attraction, development and retention policies.
