N2 - C10H12S4.C6H4N 2 O4, was synthesized, while studying tetrathiafulvalene (TTF)-based charge-transfer. It was observed that the structure contains mixed stacks of alternating molecules of the donor tetramethyltetrathiafulvalene (TMTTF) and acceptor 1,4-dinitrobenzene (DNB). Both TMTTF and DNB were observed to be lieing on the same crystallographic twofold axis, which results maximum overlap between the two molecules. It was also observed that the bond distances in the DNB moiety are similar to the structure of the DNB itself.
