Andreia Gomes is a Junior Researcher at Universidade Lusófona and Invited Professor at the School of Health Sciences and Technologies. She holds a PhD in Molecular Biosciences from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2021), following a Master¿s in Biotechnology and a Bachelor's in Biochemistry. She has published 19 peer-reviewed articles and participated in numerous academic events. Her research focuses on molecular biology, biochemistry, medical biotechnology, and nutrition, especially the effects of natural compounds like polyphenols on metabolic and immune responses. She has worked with cell, tissue, and organ manipulation in health and disease contexts. Gomes has co-supervised academic theses, received seven scientific awards, and participated in multiple research projects. Her contributions support personalized nutrition, therapeutic strategies, and chronic disease management, particularly in diabetes.
