The phenomenon of sexual assault have taken on more and more, a truly public dimension, both nationally and internationally. Women and children are the main victims of such violence. This violation of human rights and dignity ignore classes and cultures. In the national context are few studies that examine this issue, stand out studies to male subjects convicted of rape crimes. This work, violation: Risk factors and Therapeutic Implications aims to conduct a literature review about the violation against adult women. This work will focus abaut some studies on this problem in order to understand the characterization of sex offenders, which risk factors and what can be done in terms of prevention. The results of the studies analyzed are very similar, the violator may be a common person, however there are certain factors that lead person to sexually assaulting. Studies have indicated that to reduce the number of victims is essential an intervention in the offender in order to prevent recurrence of the behavior, change the way rape is seen by society in general and also arrange measures for the violation ceases to be a hidden crime.
