Violência escolar: a percepção dos alunos e professores diante da violência na escola

Abstract

This research is directed toward completion of the master course in science education ma de in partnership with Fatin (theological college b uilt) and Lusophone University. Our research was conducted in a school in Olinda, city of Pernambuco. Olinda is the third largest city of Pernambuco, concede behind stay only to City Jaboatão Guararapes and Recife (capital) , housing a population of 377 779 inhabitants. The city holds a charge density of 9068.36 inhabitants per square kilometers, the largest in the state. Has 41.68 km ² of land area (data IBGE/2010). The School C ônego Jonas Taurino, institutio n chosen for our research, was founded in 1974 and has 843 students enrolled and 53 teachers teaching the same. However, our research was limited to high school students (fifth to eighth grade), totaling 319 students. The same was to investigate school vio lence from the perception of students and teachers. Diagnosing problems with violence in school daily. Quantitatively identify what are the causes of outbreaks of violence in the school and in its surroundings. Identify what is the perception of students a nd teachers about school violence. The quantitative analysis of the data was performed using the SPSS 18.0 program, while the qualitative analysis of the data was guided by discourse analysis. The results identified five problems related to violence in sch ool and two problems that are directly related to the family. When referring to the problems of violence, it was found that the school environs was elected by teachers in the first place as the most violent space, and secondly the internal space of the sch ool. The biggest problem that teachers found in everyday school life, as the violence associated with bullying. Then we can point out that the malaise teacher, is also considered a major problem for teachers and much interfere in their relations of living and teaching in school. In relation between teacher and student, the most teacher consider that students have no respect for them, thus making the troubled coexistence and again interfering in teaching learning. About the families, most teachers consider t hat this family lies unstructured, thus making these violent students. In understanding these teachers, only with the involvement of the family, there could be peaceful coexistence
