The purpose of this study is to evaluate the extent to which the practice of
bilingualism favors the inclusion and context of the learning process of the deaf
students of Elementary School I, in a Pole Linhares School. As the specific objectives
are to verify the path of inclusion of the bilingual proposal in the regular school, to
analyze the results of the process of social inclusion and learning of the deaf student
having bilingualism as a focus in the polo deafness school in the municipality of
Linhares and to identify the justifications Governmental organizations for the
introduction of bilingualism in Brazilian schools. The research used the qualitative
methodological approach, which allowed the analysis of results obtained through a
focus group, direct observation and with interview records of professionals
responsible for this educational proposal. The results confirm the congruent
perceptions of the professionals investigated, regarding the importance of
possibilities of the inclusion of these students and the effective learning process
through the bilingual proposal. In this understanding, it is concluded that participatory
actions of daily experiences, whose real socialization relations promote the respect to
the lived diversity, precedes significant results in the process of teaching learning
what makes human formation. In this way, it will be legitimate pedagogical practice
that allows opportunities for all subjects, regardless of their difference, whether
social, racial or linguistic.
