This study deals with sexuality and gender in the context of a public school located in the city of Nova Cruz/RN. The main question of the research is to investigate which is the conception of adolescents about sexuality and its aim is to understand how sexuality and gender relations are expressed by students in the school context. The epistemological vision is based in Michel Foucault with the history of Sexuality, as well as Giddens and Heilborn with contributions from his studies of sexuality and gender. The survey was conducted by the student body, having as research instrument the application of a semi-structured questionnaire that contributed to data collection and the research analysis. Therefore, it is understood that the information from a scientific point of view are fundamental to enlarge concepts as also the demystification of taboos and superstitions concerning to gender, the body awareness, the elevation of the self-esteem, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, unplanned pregnancy and sexual violence. Finally, I conclude that the conceptions revealed by the subject of the survey are based on questions and concerns about the sexuality which enables us to perceive the need for institutionalization of Sexual Education in school
