This study investigated, from interviews with focus on teachers and principals of a basic education school of the private network from Aracaju City – Sergipe State – Brazil, if they realize the changes that have taken place in the world in the 21st century in which we had as variables the Globalisation, the Technology, the Environment, the Information and Changes in Education. Taking notice of these transformations, there was the analyzis about practices were adopted to respond to new demands. The main question was about what the educational actors are doing to prepare our citizens for the management and adaptation to these changes. In other words, checking if they are applying the Four Pillars of Education for the 21st century, according to Delors Report (1999). The interviews were divided into two phases: the first was considered the five variables that are typical features of changes have happened around the world and that have raised questions about each one of them; the second, based on educational pillars, raised questions as to the way of living with them in school practice. When analyzing the interviews found that interviewees realised the changing world: the weaknesses of relationships, increasing social inequality, the benefits and harm of technologies, a discreet shift in posture of businesses and State front the environment, the excess of information that we have received and the lack of ability to manage them and educational policies. To these changes, the school reacts, considering all the knowledge necessary for the Education of the 21st century, in terms of pillars proposed by Unesco. The actions of this school, in view of the demands, accomplishes the discourse and collaborates to pass on such practices to other schools, which responds positively to the problems raised.
