Sexual violence is a concept that over the years has generated considerable controversy regarding the understanding of its definition. The attempt or act of this type of violence is punishable by law, yet the values related to offenses are underestimated for several reasons that I refer to throughout the text. The objective of this study is to understand the emotional responses to rape stimuli when the violation is committed by a man against a woman and vice versa, in the sense of clarifying the existence of some emotional predisposition to evaluate such situations, as well as the associated predictors. The present dissertation focused on the evaluation of correlates of emotional response to sexual violence against men versus sexual violence against women. In particular, psychosexual factors (sexual self-schemas and beliefs of sexual violence) associated with emotional response. The sample consisted mainly by university students, man (N = 36) and women (N = 48). (N = 36). The results showed that the relationship between rape beliefs, self-schemas and emotions were the most significant associations.
