The Educandus Software is relevant to the teaching process in reference schools participating in this research. It was observed that the students felt that the use of the Educandus Software enables higher quality learning. This situation determined the purpose of this research: to understand how Educandus Software has contributed to the acquisition of knowledge of students, particularly in the teaching
of biology and specifically in Ecology. Thus, it is understood that the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tends to corroborate that both teachers and students can, effectively, develop the skills and abilities necessary for the process of teaching and learning. Methodologically, this research began with a literature review in the light of some theorists that have been used a questionnaire and a semi-structured interview. The analysis of quantitative data occurred through the use of EXCEL spreadsheet and analysis of qualitative data was interpreted
through discourse analysis. With the results it is understood that the users of the Educandus Software teachers consider it an asset feeling, however, difficulties in using what differentiates towards the students in the use of the same software.
Thus, ICT) is very relevant to students' learning and better teaching practice in the classes.
