Educational scenarios were modified by the Information Technologies and
Communications (TIC), important for the construction of planetary citizen and to raise the
quality you crave in Brazilian education, in the context of the information society we live in.
This dissertation examined the use of TIC by teachers of Portuguese in reality four public
high schools in the state education system, in the interior of Pernambuco – Brazil. To
obtainment the objectives sought in this study a questionnaire was developed as the main
instrument in the data collection process, and it was addressed to teachers of Portuguese. In
this study discussed TIC in teaching to teachers of Portuguese Language and verified that the
tools are part of their classes. Are slowly being integrated into their practices. Are recognized
as educational possibilities of new teaching practices. However, are still stuck to the
traditional pragmatism of the old school.
