The study on Early Stimulation in children environmental risk and / or with special needs fulltime
day care centers aim to investigate how is occurring early stimulation in children
environmental risk and / or children with special needs in a nursery time integral in São Luís /
MA. Thus, we selected 13 teachers, 3 coordinators and 1 manager. The study aims to describe and analyze the views and opinions of childcare professionals about the work developed in the early stimulation program. The research is a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was made through semi-structured interviews. For data analysis were prepared 10 questions, 8 common to all participants, and 2 specific questions to teachers and coordinators / manager. This study sought references in theoretical as Pérez Pérez Ramos and Ramos, and
Herren Herren, Arriagada et al., Among others, and from the conceptions of the authors we
could understand how early stimulation is contributing to minimizing or preventive of
acquired disorders during child development. Research shows new perspectives and an increasing information and awareness of the importance of early stimulation programs such as preventive and mitigating the deficiencies in high-risk children and / or with special needs.
The study supports the professionals of early stimulation area become their most effective
practices.
