Abstract

The goal of this article is to evaluate the curriculum and the teachers and students conceptions about the competences at the formation of the students from a business school situated in Vitória de Santo Antão.- PE. This institution has been chosen for the time it operates and has been supplying the demand for professionals in the labor market of that micro-region where in the last eight years global companies have been installed. The methodology includes questionnaires, ,interviews, and analysis of documents from the fragments of reality of that locus.. The results pointed to a good evaluation from the both sides of the process: students and teachers. Problems were related to the subject-student who finds difficulties in their insertion into the labour market by pointing out the programmatic contents as insufficient, although in the classroom there is quality in the teaching practice. There was still little emphasis on the internships, and partnerships with companies that could integrate the theory to practice.
