The Frontal Assessment Battery (FAB) is a neuropsychological assessment used
for evaluate executive dysfunctions namely the ones located on the frontal lobe. Studies
show that individuals diagnosed with alcohol use disorder display several neuroanatomic
alterations that have a specific influence on the executive functions, being that an
additional obstacle to the treatments' success. That being said, the main goal of this study
is to analyze the psychometric characteristics of FAB in a population diagnosed with
alcohol use disorder, demonstrating if this type of assessment may be used as
discriminative. The study sample is composed by 155 participants, being 124 masculine
(80%) and 31 feminine (20%). It was found that FAB has a good internal consistency
and revealed a good reliability and significant correlation with the convergent measures
