Avaliação da atenção com provas informatizadas versus convencionais em populações clínica e saudável: Uma revisão sistemática

Abstract

Attention is one of the most basic cognitive functions of our cognition. Several pathologies affect the attentional capacity, as well the healthy aging. Therefore, the aim goal of this study was analize the litterature regarding the evaluation of attention, in and, as well as in a healthy population. It was also aimed to verify which computerized alternatives to conventional attention tests exists, analyze which attention tests have the most practice effects and which assessment methodology is most susceptible to these effects. This systematic review integrates 33 articles, 21 computerized tests and eight pencil and paper tests. 11 artices assess attention in non degenerative, 11 articles assess attention in degenerative pathologies and 11 use a healthy population sample. In addiction, eight studies were identified analyzing the practive effects of the tests. It was not possible to conclude which attention tests are most appropriate for the pathologies addressed here. Regarding the practice effects, it was observed that most test presente these effects more proeminent between the first and second applications, decreasing in the subsequents admnistrations.
