The aim of the present study is to discuss how intersectional policies sponsored by current Brazilian education and health happen in everyday life of a community in the city of Teresina, state of Piauí. We shall also try to identify concepts of education and health that permeate existent policies in the abovementioned areas in Brazil, and to rescue intersectional proposals from the official discourse. We shall analyze social representations and practices that health and education professionals defend regarding activities as strategies to promote health. To do so, we undertook bibliographic research regarding the subject aim of our study, as well as field research to study the phenomenon. One concludes that, undoubtedly, the more lives, or, one may understand, people involved in the process, the slower and harder the route will be, however, more beautiful and valuable the result shall be. We are sure that integral attention awarded to education and health for citizenship are indispensable requisites for the achievement of decent and dignified living conditions for all.
