This work aims at analyzing the relation between day-care center and family, thus promoting the
communication and participation among parents and professionals. This study was done at a day-care
center in the city of Camacan- BA, and the participating subjects are the teachers, the monitors, and those
in charge of education.
Using structured interviews, it was possible to register and analyzedescriptively the perception of those
involved in the research, with the objective of revealing their opinions about the relation between day-care
center and the families, regarding the development of the children. As a result, we would like to point out
the responsibility of all subjects, in an agreed work that involves meetings with those in charge of
education, planning of activities and projects, the motivation of the children regarding learning and
autonomy related to their daily skills. Progressively, it is noticeable that the parents are more concerned
with the learning process and the culminating point of the Project, in contrast with the primary needs of
food, health and safety. For these reasons, it is essential to continue the partnership of day-care center and
family, for a bigger consciousness and involvement of the parents.
