Abstract

Mathematic is present in the everyday life of every citizen. The child, the adolescent, even the adult learning math question to get inside the school, thus losing the curiosity, interest, and even the pleasure of studying. This paper presents ways that facilitate understanding of mathematical content as well as contextual content , use of concrete materials, the technologies and the playful. The applicability of playfulness and other media allow students to make learning an interesting, sympathetic and even fun process. In this perspective this study sought through bibliographic analysis to understand the difficulties in understanding mathematics. The methodology pre-tests and post-tests was made in two classes to see the degree of content knowledge and applied knowledge acquired after the completion of this work. In a class was working with the didactic, rules and workbook exercises, and another group was used active methods, experiences, challenges, games, surveys, contextualized problems, use of technology, etc.. As a result of this work we realized the need for the educator to act as an intermediary of knowledge, mathematical innovate with technology, games and challenges, the student showing the pleasure of studying in a different way, committed and facilitator in the construction of mathematical knowledge.
