Abstract

The numerous possibilities of manifestation of language are reflected in technological advances. The demands of the current scenario to bring the educational practices that include forms of communication and knowledge, enabled by electronic media, and therefore requires paradigmatic changes of professional teachers. The present study investigated the relationship as give educators the municipal Recife with computers, focusing on teaching and learning Portuguese. For this understanding we conducted a field survey with questionnaires and interviews. The research sought justification for researchers and experts in the fields of computer science, education and teaching of the Portuguese Tongue, between they, Lévy (1993), Castells (1999), Morin (2002), Teodoro (2003), Demo (2000), Soares (2002), Teberosky (2003), Ferreiro (2008) y Xavier (2010). The study was a qualitative / quantitative, descriptive and explanatory, conducting content analysis. The methodological work in embasou Severino (2007), Richardson (2010), Gil (2010), Minayo (2000), Chizzotti (1991) and Bardin (2011). The findings provided an understanding of the barriers and advances in technological appropriation process of the sample investigated. It is believed that these individuals are in the process of familiarization with digital technologies, throwing up challenges and frenetic consciously and necessary.
