This research aims to discuss and reflect the influence of television on behavior and learning of adolescents from two schools in the urban area of Santa Luzia-PB. The sample was selected in a universe of eight classes in 9th grade of elementary school in 2011. Through
surveys, questionnaires, the study presents the perceptions of 59 students aged between 12 and 16 years of age and their teachers about the information conveyed by the television media are interpreted by students, which effects the media behavior of these youngsters and what level of awareness of school with parallel learning provided by TV. In the analysis of the research we use a quantitative and qualitative approach, content analysis, which uses the sense of unity as a basis for analysis. From the perspective of dialogue communication / education, the study discusses the importance of using the media in school. Theoretical and empirical
data confirmed therefore that, before his significant role in society, education must now lead
the emancipation of the individual making him capable of acting as interlocutor of critical social events in order to overcome any kind of alienation media.
