The dissertation presents the results of research work in public schools, which had as main objective to analyze the factors that contribute to the dropout of students from the Youth and Adult Education of the public schools in the city of Tamandaré - PE. This is a research of quantitative and qualitative nature of descriptive and explanatory level, where 140 students, 04 teachers and 03 administrators were part of this work in 03 schools in the city of Tamandaré where EJA work, questionnaires and interviews were used in data collection which then organized and analyzed, the final material research shows that 42% of students leave school because ensure must work, because they live in a tourist town where the period of summer is expected with great anticipation of the room away from students class for not having flexibility in the schedule determined by the school, and more, with the arrival of summer 67% of students who are already working and are required for other functions, say they are too tired to remain in the classroom after an intense day work. Other reasons contemplated are problem with health, disinterest in school, lack of transportation and others. It was clear that students who dropout, return to enroll in an attempt to improve the quality of life for his family. However, a new reading taken from the results of the work completed and analyzed, one sees the other side of the question, between the obvious results, and understood the pith of the problem, this reflection leads to challenges that may help lessen the dropout of EJA in classroom, as: review the methodology and the evaluative process used in the pedagogical practice of this type of education, put forward continuing education for teachers, causing them to research. The results point to the need for managers of educational institutions, formulate strategies to suppress school dropout in EJA, because school failure is assigned to the student masked in socioeconomic factors and educational public policy. In an endeavor eradicate school dropout are need rational and relevant transformation to the reality of students.
