Abstract
In this paper, we present the results of an investigation accomplished during the years 2007
to 2009, which goal was to describe the route of Portuguese-speaking acquisition by a
brazilian girl. The research was longitudinal descriptive, with qualitative approach, using
the case study as strategy. The data were analyzed according to the following language
areas: phonology, morphology, syntax, semantic and pragmatic, and compared to the data
supplied by available theoretical reference.
