Abstract
In this article we aim to understand the
abhorrence designers (and architects, too) truly
feel for “the computer”. If, on the one hand, it
is an excellent partner accepted by all, it is at
the same time with a great deal of uneasiness
that syllabus for university subjects are
prepared so that students may learn the
projectual features of design, develop their
creative ability (intelligence in the use of
resources for producing concepts or objects),
using the computer systematically, in other
words, not merely as a drawing tool but also as
a project tool (design).
Automatisms are still today’s monsters;
however, as we here defend, computers have
always projected human shadow, they are
“merely” hypermedia machines that resort to
existing technologies so as supposedly to create
a new more transparent relationship between
humans and machines.
