Abstract
The present study aimed at the development and psychometric validation of a new personality inventory. Based on the Big Five theoretical model, its development process took place over three studies. Study 1 was dedicated to the development and construction of the items; Study 2 of an exploratory nature, intended to assess the behavior of the items and the participants' reaction to them; and Study 3, of a confirmatory nature, aimed at validating the results obtained in the exploratory factor analysis. The results found show that this inventory has very satisfactory psychometric properties, and as such is a valid and reliable instrument that could be an alternative to the instruments currently used in recruitment and selection processes.
