Abstract
The objective of this article is to analyze the impact of the interaction with the visiting public of the Inter-national Exhibition “Jewish Inheritance and Heritage in Portugal”, held in the National Archives of Torre do Tombo, Lisbon, between March 20 and April 29, 2017 . During the Exhibition, visitors could have contact with documents regarding the Jewish and new-Christian presence in Portugal, as well as the processes of religious intolerance experienced by these groups during the Portuguese Modernity . From the Book of Visitors, which totaled 1267 people, is intended to understand, through the impressions they left written, the reaction of people to what was shown and the relationship they made between the inheritance and the Jewish presence in Portugal with the awareness of the Jewish importance for Portuguese history and its perception in the present .
