Project: Research

Project Details

Description

Currently, digital technology is present in almost every aspect of everyday life, both in private and public spheres. Thus, educational institutions in Europe are encouraged to use digital technologies in a creative, collaborative, and efficient manner. These efforts are reinforced by the recently adopted Digital Education Action Plan by the European Commission (DEAP, EC, 2018), which supports the use of technology and the development of digital skills in education, as well as by the European Framework for Digitally Competent Educational Organizations (DigCompOrg, EC, 2015).

Objectives
The TASK 21 project aims to help modernize formal educational curricula and create pedagogical material that meets the needs of the 21st century. To achieve this, it brings together pedagogical and technical expertise to develop, test, and implement an interdisciplinary university course equivalent to a Master's level credit unit for:

Future educators and curriculum designers: students of Education Sciences, Educational Psychology, Pedagogy, and similar programs;
Future e-learning developers: students of Information Technologies, Computer Science, and related fields.
