Description
BYTE-Film (Bridging Young Talent and Entrepreneurship in the Film and Audiovisual Industries) is a European educational initiative that aims to strengthen entrepreneurial capacity, innovation skills, and
digital readiness among emerging professionals in the film and audiovisual sectors.
The project responds to major challenges facing Europe's audiovisual industries, including rapid technological change, the growing influence of artificial intelligence and extended reality technologies, evolving audience behaviours, funding constraints, and increasing global competition. BYTE-Film seeks to equip students and young professionals with the tools needed to navigate these transformations and create sustainable careers in the cultural and creative sectors.
Developed through a collaboration between Lusófona University (Portugal), SP Televisão (Portugal), and Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology – IADT (Ireland), and supported by the wider FilmEU Alliance, BYTE-Film delivers a specialised Masters level module focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital transformation in film and audiovisual media.
