Biography

Sónia Vladimira Correia, PhD, Sociologist. She is Professor at Physical Education and Sport Faculty of Lusófona University, Lisbon. Holds a PhD on Social Sciences, Sociology, since 2014 from the University of Lisbon, Institute of Social Sciences, and a MSc (2004) also in Social Sciences, specialization in Contemporary Portugal- Societies and Cultures also from the University of Lisbon, Institute of Social Sciences. She is researcher at CIDEFES and CeiED, both from Lusófona University. She has been involved in national and international funded projects since 1998. She has authored papers in national and international journals, books, book chapters, conference papers, and presentations in peer-reviewed conferences. Her research areas are Gender; Social Inclusion and Social Policy focused on Education, Family, and, more recently, on Physical Activity and Sports. She is certificated as Coordinator by OECD on Teaching, Learning and Assessing Creativity, and Critical Thinking in Education.
