Biography

Pedro Alves is the Director of the Bsc in Computer Sciences of Universidade Lusófona. He was a Solutions Architect at Opensoft (2002-2016) and mentor at Vodafone Labs (2014-2015). In parallel with his consultancy activity, he lectures at Universidade Lusófona since 2014. He holds a Msc and PhD in Computer Science from Instituto Superior Técnico. During his professional activity, he was responsible for the architecture and implementation of high impact projects in Portugal, such as Portal das Finanças, tax submission through Internet and Portal da Habitação. He participated in an acceleration program for startups in Silicon Valley and advised several startups at Vodafone Labs. As a professor, he is responsible for several Programming disciplines and Mobile Computing in the Computer Science Bsc.
