Biography

Lígia Carvalho Abreu has a PhD in Law from the faculty of law of Geneva and is an associate professor at Universidade Lusófona where she teaches public and private international law, constitutional law, environmental law and human rights. She is an integrated researcher at the center for advanced studies in law Francisco Suárez (CEAD) and she is also an associated researcher at the center for research on law and society (CEDIS) of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She is a legal consultant, having prepared several studies for public and private institutions and international organizations. She develops a project in fashion law and, in this context, she is a professor and coordinator of the short course in fashion law at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, a professor in the postgraduate course in fashion law at the catholic university. She was a lawyer and a legal assistant at the United Nations Institute for training and research(UNITAR) in International Environmental law.
