Biography

José Quintino Rogado is an Associate Professor at ECAATI/ULHT, the School of Communication, Arts Architecture and Information Technologies of Universidade Lusófona (Lisbon), where is the Director of the Computer Engineering and Information Systems Department. His teaching domains include Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Identity Management and Parallel Computing. José Q. Rogado graduated at the Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon) in Electronic Engineering, holds a ¿Doctorat d¿Université¿ in Information Systems by Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI) and a Ph.D.in Computer Engineering by Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (UTL) He has spent 4 years as an Invited Researcher at the Institut National de Recherche en Informatique en Automatique (INRIA - France) where he worked in several projects in the area of Operating Systems development and performance optimization. He then spent 7 years as an Engineering Researcher with the Open Software Research Institute
