Biography

Joana Raquel Sousa holds a PhD in Sustainable Energy Systems at the MIT|Portugal program at FEUP, and a MSc in Civil Engineering from FEUP. Has a relevant background in engineering and 10 years of research experience in energy-related issues: energy policy, energy markets, demand response, energy efficiency in the built environment and indoor air quality (IAQ). Was a researcher at the Energy Efficiency Group in LNEG, at FEUP, at the Built Environment Energy Group in INEGI, and at the construction physics laboratory at the University of Minho. Holds more than 10 publications in indexed (ISI/WEB OF SCIENCE; SCOPUS) academic journals and books/ book chapters and several other conference publications.
