Iolanda is Ph.D. in Computational Engineering, from IST, Universidade de Lisboa, and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering, from FCT, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. In the last 8 years, Iolanda has been dedicated to research and academic teaching. Her main research interests include mathematical modeling applied to biological systems, image processing, computational fluid dynamics, and numerical analysis. During these years, Iolanda has taught several courses, from the Department of Mathematics to the Department of Physics, in different Universities. Between her Master's and Ph.D., she passed through the Industry, working first in Health Management and then as an Hospitalar Physicist in Instituto Português de Oncologia Francisco Gentil. For the last two years, she is being dedicated to teaching data science courses at Nova SBE, such as Data Curation and Data Visualization.
