Personal profile

Biography

PhD in Psychology (Feb 2020, ISCTE-IUL) and Master in Community Psychology and Child Protection (2010, ISCTE-IUL). Currently, I am a post-doc researcher at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Lisboa, working on parenting issues in risk contexts, and I'm an Invited Assistant Professor at ULHT. My research activities focus in (1) understanding the neuro and socio-cognitive bases of parenting, namely the influence of parents¿ executive functions and cognitions in maladaptive parental behaviors, especially in disadvantage contexts; and (2) develop evidence-based intervention programs with parents and professionals, targeting social-cognitive dimensions of caregiving, with innovative approaches to community problems.
