completed a PhD in Design at Aveiro University (2009) and a Bachelor in Communication Design at University of Porto, Faculty of Fine Arts (1991). Current course leader (since 2015) and associate professor (since 2011) of Communication Design undergraduate degree at Lusófona University of Porto (Portugal). Researcher at the Hei-Lab. Principal Investigator of ¿Design as a means of preventing childhood obesity" supported by Pedro Hispano Hospital. Mascot author of Pediatric Service from Pedro Hispano Hospital (2022). Curator of national and international design exhibitions, at Lusófona University of Porto, since 2012. Graphic designer and illustrator since 1992 - worked with several design studios and publishing companies. Former member of the team that redesigned the daily Portuguese newspaper, Jornal de Notícias, in 1992. Book Cover designer for ¿Portuguese Literature Essentials¿ and ¿Foreign Literature Essentials¿ collections for Portuguese newspapers, DN, JN and national bookstores.
