Assistant Professor at the Lusófona University of Porto and Lisbon, Portugal. PhD in Applied Psychology from the University of Minho. Researcher at the Psychology Research Center, at the University of Minho, from 2009 to 2017, where she participated in several investigations on violence in intimacy, highlighting the project GAM - Intervention groups for women victims of violence in intimacy - and violence in intimacy against men - the theme of her doctoral thesis. In addition, she worked as a psychologist and forensic expert and as a trainer in the area of domestic violence and gender equality. She is author and co-author of publications at national and international level in the field of Victimology and Forensic Psychology. Member of the Portuguese Board of Psychologists.
