Biography

André Rui Graça holds a PhD in Film Studies from University College London (UCL) and is the author of Portuguese Cinema (1960-2010): Consumption, Circulation and Commerce (Boydell and Brewer, 2021) and the co-editor of Filmmakers on Film: Global Perspectives (Bloomsbury, 2023). André Graça has presented his work internationally and has published frequently in academic and extra-academic contexts. He was a teaching assistant at UCL, and guest professor at Universidade da Beira Interior and Instituto Politécnico de Tomar. Currently, André Graça teaches at Lusófona University and is a researcher at CICANT. He is involved in several EU-funded projects (namely: FilmEU+, WIRE, and CresCine) that intend to set new benchmarks in film education, carry out innovative research and make the film industries of small European countries more competitive.
