ARQ.ID is configured as a Research and Development (R&D) unit of the Department of Architecture and Urbanism and Design of the Lusófona University of Porto.

Created to promote research in the disciplinary areas of Architecture and Urbanism, it aims to bring together the different disciplinary areas that intervene transversally and collaboratively in works of different scopes and nature that develop and converge in the shared interest of the study of the architectural object and its materiality, of artistic expression of its results, of the resources used, of the cities, of the places, of the transformed landscapes and of the heritage, understood as essential values ​​for the development of territories and societies.
